Das Düsseldorfer THEATER DER KLÄNGE ist weltweit das einzige Ensemble, welches sich seit über 30 Jahren maßgeblich immer wieder mit der historischen Bauhausbühne und Weiterführungen dieser Theater- und Tanzansätze beschäftigt hat. Zum Jubiläumsjahr “Bauhaus 100” präsentiert das THEATER DER KLÄNGE in der ACC Galerie Weimar, diese Form von Beschäftigung mit einem “anderen” Theaterdenken.
In der auditiv-medialen Ausstellung zeigt das THEATER DER KLÄNGE zehn “Bauhaus Produktionen“. Diese Bühnenwerke setzten sich direkt oder weiterführend interpretierend mit dem historischen Bauhaus und dessen Bühnenwerken aus den 1920er Jahren auseinander. Jedem dieser durch das THEATER DER KLÄNGE realisierten Projekte ist ein Raum gewidmet, der sowohl die Originalideen (Skizzen, Fotos, Texte), die Rekonstruktionen dieser Entwürfe (Modelle, Figurinen usw.), als auch die inszenatorische Umsetzung (Videos, Fotos und Programme) ausstellt. Verbunden sind diese 10 thematischen Räume durch akustische Korridore, in denen die Klanglichkeit der jeweiligen Stücke des THEATER DER KLÄNGE hörend erfahrbar ist. In kleinen Hörspiel-Nischen werden “Anekdoten” zu den einzelnen Werken von den direkt daran Beteiligten erzählt.
Die audio-visuelle Szenografie wurde von Studierenden des Fachbereichs Design der Fachhochschule Dortmund gestaltet.
Das Theater der Klänge eröffnet die Ausstellung mit der Rede von Walter Gropius “Kunst und Technik eine neue Einheit” aus dem Theaterstück “Der Silberprinz“.
Ein umfangreicher Katalog und ein online verfügbarer Audio-Guide komplettieren diese Ausstellung.

THEATER DER KLÄNGE bauhaus stage: Originals. Appropriations. Continuations.
Düsseldorf´s THEATER DER KLÄNGE (THEATRE OF SOUNDS), is worldwide the only theatre group, that has been dealing repeatedly and in a relevant manner with the historic bauhaus stage and possible consistent continuations of these theatre and dancing approaches.
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Bauhaus, THEATER DER KLÄNGE presents in Weimar’s ACC Galerie their way of dealing with this “different” approach of theatrical thinking developed by the Bauhaus artists 100 years ago.
In this auditive and medial exhibition THEATER DER KLÄNGE shows ten of their “Bauhaus Productions“:
These stage works deal directly or in an interpreting way with the historic Bauhaus und its stage works created in the 1920ies. A separate room is dedicated to each project that was realized by THEATER DER KLÄNGE, presenting nearly every step of the production: beginning with traces of the original ideas in scetches, drawings, photos, texts, going via reconstructions of the outlines and concepts to be admired in models and figurines and finally the different realizations on stage to be seen in videos, photos and theatre programmes. These ten thematic rooms are connected via accustic corridors, in which the world of sounds of each of the stage productions by THEATER DER KLÄNGE can be experienced accustically. In little radio play recesses “anecdotes” of each of the productions are being told by artists who were directly connected with these works.
The audio-visual scenography was created by design students of the university of applied sciences and arts Dortmund.
THEATER DER KLÄNGE will open the exhibition with the speech by Walter Gropius “Art and Technology – A New Entity” from our theatre play “The Silver Prince“.
A comprehensive catalogue and an audio guide with online accessibility will complete this exhibition.
