THEATER DER KLÄNGE Events

The Düsseldorf THEATER DER KLÄNGE invites you into a world where the boundaries between music and movement, between sound and emotion, dissolve. Our music and dance theatre ensemble develops a new production each year, premiering exclusively in Düsseldorf.
For the 2026/27 season we are planning a comprehensive retrospective of our work to mark 40 years of THEATER DER KLÄNGE, under the title „Resonance Space 40“. Our rehearsal studio in Düsseldorf-Pempelfort will become an immersive experiential space, with three to four hour-long immersive audio-visual performances taking place each week. Once a month, a live weekend will be held in the studio, presenting selected productions from our 40-year repertoire — mostly in suite format.
Discover with us other possibilities of contemporary music and dance theatre. Be surprised, moved and inspired by performances in which music, dance and theatre fuse into a unique art form.

Ticket Prices

Our ticket prices follow directly from each production’s calculation: we divide the number of performers involved, multiplied by industry-standard minimum fees, by the number of seats at the venue. Ticket income covers the performers’ fees directly – without institutional core funding, a larger cast in a small venue means a higher price per seat.

The reduced ticket price is available to anyone with a low income – for example if you receive Bürgergeld, Grundsicherung, or Wohngeld, if you’re a student or trainee, or if your income is low for any other reason. A brief word at the box office is enough, no proof required.

Getting Here

The nearest light rail stop is Pempelforter Straße (lines U71, U72, U73, U83), about a ten-minute walk from the rehearsal studio at Winkelsfelder Straße 21. The Marienhospital bus stop (lines 706, 707) is also nearby, about an eight-minute walk. If you’re coming by car, the Dieterich-Karree car park at Nettelbeckstraße 8 is also about ten minutes on foot.

Accessibility at the Rehearsal Studio (from October: Resonance Space 40)

The rehearsal studio of THEATER DER KLÄNGE is located in the courtyard behind Winkelsfelder Straße 21. By car, access is only possible as far as the pavement – vehicles cannot enter the gateway itself.

The studio itself is accessible at ground level. Two steps lead into the hall, partly covered by a ramp. The doors throughout the studio are a consistent 90 centimetres wide.

A wheelchair can be rolled through the courtyard entrance to the hall door, and from there via a ramp into the hall. A space in front of the platform is level with the performance area in the front row; companions can sit next to it or directly behind.

Whether our toilets are wheelchair-accessible, we currently cannot say with certainty.
